Our Step By Step Workshop Guide
Today we are walking you through our signature BYOB Candle Making Workshop step-by-step!
Step 1
Let's get to know each other! Your chandler will share a brief history of Candlefish, and then it's ice breaker time. We are all about making meaningful connections here at The Fish, so we love learning all about you and your scent personality!
Step 2
Fragrance time! With our ten best fragrances pre-selected we will dive into some sweet scent exploration. Use our iconic library card to keep track of what you smell, and find your signature scent! We know what you're thinking, how are you supposed to pick just one!? Don't worry, you get 15% off one entire purchase, so you can shop after class!
Step 3
With your signature scent in hand, learn all the top-secret details about our fragrance oils and what makes them so special. Then your chandler will guide you in measuring the exact amount of oil it takes to make the perfect candle!
Step 4
Wax Time! We use 100% soy wax, and we can't wait to tell you why that's so amazing. Learn about the benefits of soy wax, and pour the perfect amount to make your two candles. We know, it's soy exciting!
Step 5
Play matchmaker with your wax and oil, because it's time to combine them! Give them a gentle stir, and treat yourself to a little smell... this is the first time your concoction will start to smell like a candle!
I can’t wait to get into a class and have a turn to practice being a chandler!
This is such a fun experience! When my best friend and I went we swapped one of the candles we made with each other. She lives 9 hours away, so it was always nice to burn her candle and think about her and our time together!

This is so exciting and I can’t wait for my daughter and I to have a chance to have a day making candles. I think she was the only 5 year old (now 8) that loved candles just as much as the adults and how it makes her feel and her room smell!
